Mentalist's Flash Cards are a mindreading miracle with devilishly clever ideas and is easily mastered using the special flash cards included. Even when knowledgeable magicians watch this trick, phrases like "That's impossible!" automatically come out of their mouths.
Effect:
Phase one: The magician asks the spectator to thoroughly mix some flash cards and put them face down on the table. Next the spectator is asked to cut the deck of flash cards at any spot he likes. The magician takes the top card and without looking at the card he displays its face to the spectator and asks the spectator to memorize the word on it. Then without looking, the magician places the card face down as it was before. The magician now reads the spectator's mind and is able to draw a picture that matches the word the spectator is thinking of.
Phase two: The magician hands the packet of flash cards to the spectator and asks him to mix them up. Now the magician turns his back to the spectator and asks him to square the cards when he is done shuffling. Next the magician asks the spectator to cut the deck at any point and take the top half off with his right hand. The magician asks the spectator to turn the deck toward himself so he can see the face of the bottom card. The spectator is asked to memorize the word on the card and to replace the rest of the deck face down on the table. The magician turns around and without asking any questions he draws a picture that matches the freely chosen word that the spectator is thinking of.
